We're going Branson, Branson in the street...
I just can't stop singing, and I'm trying to get that oompa loompa song out of my head! Last night, Maddie and I accompanied London to her audition for Hexagon Players' Fall 2009 production of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. During the grueling four hour auditions, each of what felt like hundreds of girls and boys sang their favorite song and told us what they had planned for the summer. We were so proud of London, who belted out "The Climb" and told everyone she's going to Annie's Playhouse Summer Stars camp and spending time at our beach house in Bay Head, NJ. Most of the kids were planning some form of acting or Broadway camp, but one youngster sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and told the crowd he was headed to Branson, Missouri. He and his family are staying at either the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, both in the midst of all the action in the electrifying entertainment capital of the Midwest.
His mom and his sisters are going to hit the shops and boutiques, while the little boy and his dad check out hole after hole of breathtaking scenery at the new Payne Stewart Golf Club nearby. Depending on when they arrive and when they head back home, they may have the opportunity to take part in many different Branson summer events... like the Father’s Day Salute, the 10th Annual Clown Jam, or the National Kid’s Fest at Silver Dollar City. Maybe by the time they return to the Roxiticus Valley, the whole family will have forgotten that crazy oompa loompa dance.
What's are you and your family up to for the summer?

My summer actually consisted of almost never-ending house cleaning. As a matter of fact, mom and I aren't really done with the cleaning yet. Our house has looked like a huge dump site because of that.
