The weather was a little iffy yesterday, but that didn't stop Maddie and her class from having a great time on the First Grade class trip to the Bronx Zoo. I was lucky enough to chaperone, and I'll be sharing some more photos as soon as I get a chance to upload them. On your right you'll see Norma the Tiger.Below, Maddie and her girlfriends agreed that the Polar Bear was their absolute favorite. They all wanted to bring him home to the Roxiticus Valley, but there wasn't enough room on the bus.

They have fixed up the Bronx Zoo a lot since I went there on a class trip in 1969 (lol, you ought to see the pics my mom took, no animals, just 100 shots of us eating lunch on benches!)
Perfect time of year to go, too.
I like going to zoos, or merely watching these furry friends go about. :-)

The polar bear looks so cute! Who wouldn't want to bring them home? :) I haven't been to the zoo for the longest time, but the times I was there I really enjoyed it. I'm sure the class had a grand time too. Thanks!
