Ralston Historic Association Fun Day This Sunday, October 5th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm in Mendham Township

Sometimes having two homes, one in the Roxiticus Valley and one at the beach in Bay Head, New Jersey, makes it difficult to choose where to be on any given weekend. This weekend, the weather forecast is 70 degrees and sunny, perfect for the beach. On the other hand, London and Maddie brought home a flyer in their "backpack mail" that makes me want to stay up north in Mendham.

The Ralston Historic Association is hosting a Fun Day this Sunday, October 5th, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. The Ralston General Store will be open, with lots of "crafters" at the Ralston Manor House next door: blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, and silhouettes. Ralston Cider Mill down the street will be giving tours, and there will be Open Space Committee nature walks and games at the Burnett Brook Natural Area.

While wild horses couldn't drag me away from the beach on a perfect Saturday, we may have to head back home in time to check out the Ralston Historic Association events on Sunday afternoon.
