The Mendham Township Schools host their annual Strawberry Festival tomorrow (Saturday, June 7th, 2008) at the Mendham Township Elementary School on West Main Street in Brookside, NJ.
Since our family is staying up north for the girls' Garden State Ballet dress rehearsal on Sunday the 8th, we are attending the Strawberry Festival for our first time ever. Maddie's kindergarten class put together a Webkinz basket, and London's first grade class created a spa basket, so the raffles should be lots of fun.
And the rumor that Mary Alice might invite us over to her house for dinner on Saturday evening turned out to be true, so I'll have a night with the Roxiticus Desperate Housewives to report on Sunday.
The Strawberry Festival is an annual day of family fun featuring games for all ages:
- Prizes
- Nail, hair, and face painting
- Tattoos (temporary, I'm guessing....)
- Crafts
- Basket raffle
- Bake sale
- Food
- Police demos, and,
- Of course....strawberry shortcake!!!
