Mutsy Slider!
Mutsy

Actually, it has been quite some time since we've used a baby stroller in our home, except for ferrying American Girl dolls about the house and backyard, but with our second Roxiticus Desperate Nanny happily knocked up (must be something in the well water at our house), we're actually in the market for a substantial baby shower gift. I'm stunned to see how radically (and attractively) the stroller offerings have improved since Rex and I were in the market over seven years ago.

Wait until you new moms (and dads) out there hear about the latest stroller offerings from Mutsy! In fact, some of you single guys and gals may be so intrigued with Mutsy's new offerings that you'll do what it takes to have a baby (perhaps even over and over and over again) in order to justify one of these little beauties for yourself. Or at least have fun trying.

First, there's the Mutsy Slider, shown in the picture. With the Slider, Mutsy introduces a totally new mobility concept and answers all mom’s requirements for compactness, low weight, and performance with a sporty, sophisticated look. The entire upper part can be detached from the frame, so the frame will fold up very small to fit in your car or your tiny Manhattan apartment. The handle can be reversed so proud mama and papa can always look at Little Junior. The Mutsy Slider also features durable wheels with less weight, a quick release three-position seat, a protective hood sheltering the fully-constructed bassinet, and a solid handle. A car seat adapter is available and, from my point of view, a must have. Moms, you will love the lightweight, stylish and easy to handle Mutsy Slider almost as much as you love your newborn. Mutsy's recommended retail pricing on this one is $569 for the Slider chassis/seat unit; bassinet sold separately for $190; or get the complete stroller for $759.

The second new choice is Mutsy's 4Rider “Next” Cargo, offering the functionality of Mutsy's 4Rider with the addition of a leather handle and the complete Cargo range of fabrics. The 4Rider “Next” Cargo’s bassinet is ideal for transporting infants, features a strong (leather) handle, a mattress pad and cover, and zip storage compartments. The 4 Rider "Next" Cargo's separate seat may be used with baby facing mom, dad, or the world. Features also include recline, leg rest (for the baby, silly, not for you, even though you may think you need the rest more than baby does), a removable front bar, and a protective hood. Mutsy also provides an easy-to-access basket. Roxy recommends the car seat adapter, available separately. The individual components of the Mutsy 4Rider "Next" Cargo stroller can be purchased separately: the frame for $357, seat $187, and bassinet $215, or pick up the complete system for $759.

And, lucky you for visiting us today, right now Barebabies.com would like to offer my loyal Roxiticus Desperate Housewives readers a 10% discount on any Mutsy order by using the discount code mutsy10off. (If you're not a loyal reader but promise to come back here with your new Mutsy stroller, we'll let you use the code, too). And be sure to take a Mutsy test drive at a local Mutsy retailer.

We'll be looking for you and your chic new Mutsy stroller at the Ralston Playground and all around the Roxiticus Valley this summer.

I love love love Mutsy pushchairs! They are extremely trendy and stylish, but it's not one of those all-looks-and-no-substance strollers that are overpriced, overhyped but underdeliver. We actually reviewed it too and granted it the Best Buy Award! ;)
