Winter Storm Warning In Effect for the Roxiticus Valley

London and Maddie have no school today. The snow just started about an hour ago here in the Roxiticus Valley, and a winter storm warning remains in effect until Midnight tonight. According to the National Weather Service:

"Snow will be heavy at times and occsionally mixed with sleet across the northern parts of the Lehigh Valley and North Central New Jersey. However, in the Southern areas, the snow will mix with more sleet and freezing rain. By late afternoon, the wintry precipitation will slowly transition over to freezing rain, rain and sleet this evening, and then patchy freezing drizzle tonight. Snow and sleet accumulations are forecast to range from 4 to 8 inches as you get closer to the Poconos and in the Northern parts of Warren and Morris Counties in New Jersey. A coating of ice is expected on top of the snow. The ice could accumulate up to two tenths of an inch. The snow, sleet and freezing precipitation will make travel difficult into tonight. If you will be venturing out, use extra care. Roads and walkways will be very slippery."

Rex is out at the Shop Rite in Chester, NJ, picking up a few provisions for the weekend. Meanwhile, London and Maddie have donned their gay apparel and snow clothes to head out for some snowman making and sledding. Mariuca has been looking for a snowman since our first freak snowstorm before Halloween, and the girls are ready to deliver.
