Syracuse and Villanova, both 9-9 in the Big East (and both on the "Bubble Watch") face each other in Game 1 of the opening round of the Big East tournament at noon on Wednesday. This matchup always sets off a bit of a conflict in our household, as Rex is a Villanova supporter and I must root for my alma mater (remember that Brady Bunch episode when Carol's old flame bets against their alma mater in the homecoming game?)
And you can bet I'll don my old "Your Mother's A Hoya" t-shirt for the quarterfinals on Thursday, when the winner of Game 1 takes on ninth-ranked Georgetown.
