Alternate Universe: Don Johnson in Dockers

A few days ago, I posted about my long-time crush on Don Johnson. It's funny how the linen and pastels of Miami Vice came to define Don Johnson's personal style, and I wonder if there's an alternate universe in which Don Johnson is wearing Dockers and a blue and white striped button-down shirt. I would, of course, still be crushing on Don Johnson in that alternate universe, as khaki pants and a blue and white striped button-down shirt are actually Rex's personal style, and my loyal Roxiticus Desperate Housewives readers know how hot he is.

In fact, maybe I should make a TV commercial about Rex and enter it in the Dockers contest. As featured on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Dockers is running a Commercial Contest to give Dockers fans like Rex a chance to show off their own fashion style. I'm afraid I'm more likely to pick up my Canon Digital Rebel than I am to shout "Let's go to the videotape," but if any of my fellow bloggers want to make your own 30-second Dockers commercial and submit it to the judges for a chance to win, leave me a comment here and I'll link to the video on your blog.

You have until May 29, 2008 to submit your commercial for consideration. Then Dockers will judge all eligible commercials for their creativity (30%), originality (30%), ability to highlight the Dockers brand (35%), and total Widget User rating (5%). Dockers is going to post the top five (5) videos online to give all of us the chance to vote on the finalists, and the winner (and millions of TV viewers) will see his or her winning ad during the June 13th broadcast of The Tonight Show on NBC.

I haven't posted all the rules here, so click on one of my links to visit the Dockers contest web site for all the fine print. Good luck!

Karab,
That was a very funny 30 seconds...I didn't notice that it said "parody" until after I had watched more than once and thought I would go ahead and vote for that ad!
Thanks for finding it for us!
