Horrors!

What's your favorite way to be scared? I really enjoy suspenseful books that keep me up all night turning pages. I've read everything Stephen King has written, but I'll also take in the occasional horror movie. I had a great run as a teenage horror movie fan that included Nightmare on Elm Street (plus sequels) and Stephen King's Children of the Corn. One of the opening scenes where a zombie kid jumps up after being hit by a car still flashes before my eyes when I drive home from my mother's house (near rows and rows of corn) late at night.

There's a new scary movie out called Frontier(s) that is apparently even scarier than the films I saw in high school... Frontier(s) is so scary it got an NC-17 rating from the MPAA. I've seen the movie trailer and even that had me on the edge of my seat!

Most unrated movies don't get to theaters at all, but if you live in or near the right neighborhood (Rex and I would have to leave the Roxiticus Valley and drive in to New York City), you'll be able to see Frontier(s) uncut and unrated in a short list of select theatres on May 9th. If you're not close enough to drive to one of the select theatres, don't worry...Frontier(s) will be out unrated and uncut on DVD on May 13th, so you can buy it online or rent it from your local video store.

As I've mentioned before and we post clearly here, parental guidance is suggested before even peeking at the Roxiticus Desperate Housewives blog. So kids (and that means you, 4-year-old naughty Matthew sneaking over here from your Life in the Corner blog), consider yourself warned that some of the Frontier(s) images as well as the movie trailer may not be suitable for all audiences.
