It's Eleven O'Clock...Do You Know Where Your Children Are?

Am I dating myself or does anyone else remember that from 1970's television? They would come on at ten or eleven o'clock at night and ask, "Do you know where your children are?" I was always sitting at home watching TV with my parents. At least until I got to be a teenager and my parents could have used a car tracker to keep track of my exploits with older men.

It is no surprise to parents that auto accidents are the #1 cause of death among teens age 16-19. I remember last year in June, crying over a sad story in the New York Times about four or five young girls who died in a horrible wreck just days after graduation as they made their way to a weekend graduation party. Unfortunately, it later turned out that the driver may have been texting on her cell phone. Every parent's nightmare, and it could have been prevented.

Rocky Mountain Tracking, Inc. (RMT) provides high quality car tracking to consumers and businesses nationwide. RMT has developed in-car teenager tattletale technology using global positioning system (GPS) that can tell parents how far and how fast their teenagers travel -- and how well (or not) they drive. GPS technology not only helps you find your way with the in-car device that maps out your route and shouts out directions while you drive; it can also cut insurance costs and reassure parents. For example, RMT's GPS Tracking Key is a passive tracking device that can accurately evaluate your teenage driver's travel activities with proof of exact date, time, speed, direction of travel and location, and stop duration.

I still have a few years before my girls get behind the wheel of anything other than those mini-Hummers that the Scavo twins drive around their cul de sac, but I'm intrigued by the advances in technology that will surely be available to spy on my kids in 2017. Glad my parents didn't have technology on their side, though RMT doesn't promise to tell mom and dad what's going on in the back seat when the car is parked...

I remember those ads...We had the Oakland County Child Killer going around metro Detroit at the time. About a dozen unsolved child abductions and murders. This phrase was on tv all the time, and I've been using it ever since. It's 4:00, do you know where your hound dog is? Etc.

cheers!

It was actually, 10pm for me in New England and NYC - perhaps it's different, elsewhere.
